International Property Awards in London:
At a Gala Luncheon held in an exclusive hotel overlooking Hyde Park on 28th November 2008, Ocean's Edge was delighted to receive a GOLD AWARD for Best Development Thailand.
We were also entered into the Readers Choice Award, judged by a panel of readers of the magazine, to be awarded to the best development worldwide. Ocean's Edge was voted as Runner Up in this category to a development in Oman. This was a surprise and a significant achievement.
Of the many entries throughout the Kingdom, the final five Thailand developments included those from Phuket, Samui, Hua Hin and Bangkok.
The announcement was made during a lavish gala dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, London on November 28th.
Awards are given in Gold, Silver and Bronze. Independent judges are sent around the World by Homes Overseas Magazine to personally inspect and report on each of the short listed properties.
This year they travelled to over 16 countries.
Ocean's Edge was pleased to welcome Mr. Keith Osborne in August 2008, who spent six days in Thailand visiting the developments under consideration.
The Gold Award for Best Development follows the award of "Best Thailand Condominium" awarded to Ocean's Edge in 2007.
As quoted from the Homes Overseas Awards website:
"The evening event was attended by property agents and developers from all around the world and gave recognition to the very best residential property projects overseas.
The Homes Overseas Awards are the most highly respected symbols of prestige and excellence in the overseas property sector, giving winners the ultimate sales and marketing edge over the competition.
The Homes Overseas brand includes the best editorial pedigree in writing about homes abroad, and whose coverage of the overseas property markets spans over 40 years.
A panel of property experts, made up of national and international property journalists, selected by Homes Overseas, independently judged the shortlisted entrants."
